For Father’s Day we went down to the Cafe on the Quay at Lower Town, Fishguard for pizza. The weather cleared, the sun just about came out and we could sit outside. And Honey Fungus were in attendance with their funky mellow tunes.
A salad spread was available thanks to Jo and her team in the Cafe and pizza was by the slice.
Classic – tomato, cheese & basil oil
Celtic Crust Special – Creamy garlic sauce, mushroom, spinach & smokey coconut bits
Chorizo – tomato, cheese & house made seitan chorizo
The Cafe on the Quay hold regular barbecues/events throughout the season, serving fresh and local produce with plenty vegan options. These are often homemade burgers and a selection of salads. The Fishguard Yacht Club bar is open on these evenings too. So people can enjoy a drink and some tasty food with friends for a relaxed Sunday evening gathering. These usually go ahead whatever the weather, so all the more reason to head down and support a great small local business.
Thank you to all that came down and showed your support!
